Wow. Love this post. I've been loving all things Prequel lately ever since you turned me on to them, and their Vitamin C is packaged in an opaque glass bottle with pump, even at its low price point. It's the first Vitamin C that I feel like might actually stay active through the whole bottle. I'll have to report back on results when I've been using it longer, but my mother commented on how good my skin looked after a bottle of their Multi-Quench serum, so I have high hopes.

See, this is what I'm talking about.

Prequel offers a well-formulated, targeted Vit C formula that matches the efficacy of Skinceuticals CE Ferullic, with proper protective packaging to preserve product stability.

And here's the real tea - the patent on CE Ferullic's formula is up this year (it's 25 years old), so they won't be able to hide behind their patent to keep charging $185 for a formula that is older, and possibly not as refined as Lucent-C by Prequel.

Yup! I'm SO happy that there are high-quality, evidence-based, truly affordable brands now. I was going to try Timeless's Vitamin C since it's a bit stronger, but the Lucent-C feels strong enough. There's a serious tingle for 2-3 minutes when I apply it, so the actives definitely feel...active!
