Pat McGrath Labs X Candy Crush???
Why is legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath collabing with the match-three game app Candy Crush?
Pat McGrath Labs has partnered with Candy Crush Saga to create a collection of lip and nail products - and if you’re lucky, a sweet bit of extra bling.
The collection includes limited-edition MatteTrance lipsticks, glosses, and nail polishes in packaging inspired by Candy Crush Saga’s bold colors and power-up symbols. The company said the limited-edition collaboration “celebrates self-expression.”
This collaboration has a special twist: three lucky shoppers could uncover a playful game inspired diamond ring valued at $10,000 USD. The rings are handcrafted by British jewelry house BASLIQ, whose clients include celebrities like Beyonce and Gigi Hadid.
By purchasing one of the Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipsticks on patmcgrath.com, you could uncover one of three $10,000 diamond-studded surprises. The rings were initially created as exclusive gifts for Pat’s friends—including model Alex Consani and influencer Tefi Pesso.
“Beauty should always be an adventure. This collection is all about joy, play, and opulence—and now, three lucky individuals will unwrap a truly one-of-a-kind treasure. How divine is that?” - Pat McGrath
The Candy Crush collection is available on patmcgrath.com and sephora.com. The contest is exclusive to the Pat McGrath Labs website.
#MyTwoCents
I’m slightly confused by “Mother” Pat’s motivation. She is legendary in the truest sense of the word, and her work with elite designers, celebrities, and top fashion magazines is iconic. This is the type of collab I would expect from NYX or e.l.f. - not an artist of her stature. But that’s only my opinion.
What are your thoughts about this collaboration?
Is it worthy of a legend like Mother Pat?
Do you think Candy Crush game fans will pay $39.00 USD for a lipstick to enter the contest?

i mean, in the day and age of the attention economy, this is attention, right? I am thinking it is to bring more people to the brand and possibly cross over to other things.
Look like she is going to be very busy this year.
