Loved this - you reminded me that I forgot to go on a rant about that no mascara mascara!

Being a working artist dealing with clients of all ages I’m responding to all this Bull with reality. Gravity is gravity is gravity ! All of these expensively blown out and altered faces are a tragedy to women/girls of our current society. The world of Beauty has been preying on the insecurity of aging as unattractive! Aging is beautiful! Look at Alicia Silverstone! She’s Gorgeous Take care of the insides and the out side will shine ❤️ I tell my clients of any age to think about what you are really doing/saying about yourself when you say you need all these pricey procedures. Will blowing up your lips , burning your face off and freezing your expression REALLY make you feel better? What is happening is how the beauty industry (society )has lied to you and you feel lousy because you’re not a plastic blow up doll . A great therapist and REAL self care can save you and your self esteem from being a victim of this Toxic Mindset that leads to really unacceptable procedures.

Getting off my soapbox and probably getting back on it again soon.

❤️✨

I walked away from the industry in 2025. Thanks for reminding me why I did. NONE of this shit is sustainable and I'm done trying to get these morons to see the light. NOW I'm just going to call then out for how ridiculous they look.

Great article Kevin. I do not like this gentrification of beauty where everyone looks the same and beauty has such limited definitions. Don't have giant puffer lips? Well then, you are wrong and need to be "fixed". It reminds me of the Stepford Wives. I hope there is a pushback for individuality.

Great read. When I worked beauty retail, the amount of questions I received about x products shows how unrealistic people have become. Unrealistic timelines as well expectations.

Kevin, remember the cadaveric hGH debacle of the late 80s' when hGH injections from cadavers contaminated with prions caused at least 200 cases of iCJD,( a human form of Mad Cow). Let the dead rest not become macabre beauty treatments.
